Hi eds,

How did this fiasco with Lopetegui even happen? It seems like a proper shambles, surprisingly hired by Real a couple days before the biggest tournament in football only to be fired by the Spanish national team a day after.

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - They had been rejected by two coaches and a decision was taken to look to Lopetegui instead of Guti. The RFEF were very unhappy with the timing of the appointment and the news getting out, hence their dismissing hjim.}

Cheers for the quick reply Ed, just can't believe how unprofessional and shambolic it's all been, especially on the eve of the World Cup. Hope you have a nice day.

Does Lopetegui's appointment affect their transfer plans in any shapeor form ed2. Like someone he may want to keep that might have been available for sale before or a player he likes that wasnt of serious interest before? Sorry if it doesn't make any sense.
Also could you share who were the ones that rejected the Manager post? (Wenger?)
Thanks a lot ed2

{Ed002's Note - I would say that "in any shape or form" the appointment of Lopetegui will have a minor imapct, but they have a two year plan and already know some of the players won't be viable. Allegri and Pochettino rejected their approaches.}

What a mistake, De Gea is one of the best keepers in the world, Navas is like a La Liga Mignolet. Curious Perez didn't let the fans (and Cristiano Ronaldo) affect him from letting go of Ozil, Di Maria and Ancelotti though, talk about the worst deal possible to pull the plug on, De Gea could've sorted out their GK position for the next seven to ten years.

{Ed001's Note - agreed mate, it was a huge mistake to let the fans dictate signing policy but that is the Unreal Madride for you.}
