Hi ed's thought I would ask here to save a lot of hassle but did Real make a last ditch effort to hijack the Coutinho to Barca deal or is that just press trying to stir up sales?

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - There was no offer made to Liverpool by Real Madrid El Del.}

Cheers for the quick response, thought it would be best as opposed to setting off the odd few on the other pages

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Ed 002
Was Neymars move to PSG part of a plan for him to end up at Madrid all along ?
Thanks.
T.

{Ed002's Note - Not by PSG.}

So this was a scheme devised by Neymar and his agent Ed 002 ?

{Ed002's Note - This is simply business. Nothing more.}

Afternoon ed's I'm wondering if Real are close to completing any signings? Or are they still having issue with raising funds and offloading players? They seem to be cutting it pretty fine with the end of the window a couple of weeks away and a lot of business seemingly still to do! Thanks in advance

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - REal Madrid are one of several clubs that still have a great deal of business planned - and as you say they only have a couple of weeks to go. THere will be a lot of coming and going there.}

Thanks ed, would I be pushing my luck for any details on some deals that are looking likely to be completed or is it all up in the air still? Thanks again

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to writing lists Scousedel. Later in the week no doubt there will be particular players to ask about - they have meetings planned with several clubs that I am aware of this week and may look to a creative solution or two if needs be (e.g. for Alaba).}

Thats fair, I wasn't after a list ed. I know how they have annoyed you previously. Was fishing to see if there was a name or two you would be willing to slip in. And you did so I'm good. Thank you

Hey Ed002, as it seems that the Pogba situation is nearly sorted and he is on his way to Man Utd. Would you be willing to share how international Real Madrid were in signing him and what caused them to pull out of negotiations? No worries if you don't want to, just thought I'd ask. Cheers.

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid were certainly very keen to sign the player and the player wanted Real Madrid over others. However, there were two issues that were discussed in Monaco that I mentioned previously and neither were resolvable from the perspective of the club. I don't see a need to go in to detail but they were also both of concern to Manchester Unites as well but they simply had to suck it up and pay what was asked for.}

Morning ed's just wondering if there is any truth in the reports of Madrid looking to make a move for Neymar? Or is it just lazy journalism given that you have stated Barcelona want to build around him?

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona need to start to rebuild their side and whilst their preference is to do it around Neymar they need to raise cash and, critically, lower wages to do that. There are a four issues that could adversely influence what will happen with that plan going forward - and that could potentially see Neymar sold. Barcelona need to sell rebuild and would certainly be open to selling one of their other major assets circumstances are such that it may not be possible to do that. The bans which, subject to appeal, will hit both Madrid clubs form January potentially buys Barcelona time in their rebuilding but they know Real Madrid are planning major changes in the summer. he is to be available at some point, then the known interest of Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG and one other side will no doubt be tested. It would not be out of the question for Manchester City to also think about putting a package together but their preference rests elsewhere. But any move in the short to medium term is very unlikely.}

Hey ed's I've been scouring other pages and noticed ed002 saying that De Gea will leave and Mourinho has his eye on a job. With De Gea are Real Madrid the only team that are trying to sign him? If not can you share the others? And what job does Mourinho fancy if your willing to say? Thanks

Scousedel

{Ed001's Note - unless something has changed over night, De Gea wants Madrid and Madrid want to sign him. I do not know of any other team in the running.}

Ed's I'm wondering after the statement released by Mourinho today, do you think it's because he has accepted a job offer already? If so is it the Madrid job? If not who? And if he hasn't accepted any offers what clubs have approached him?

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Afternoon eds, just wondering if there is a genuine possibility of Rafa losing his job and if Ronaldo has given the club a 'me or him' ultimatum? Thanks in advance.

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - Losing his job, sure. Ronaldo - no.}

1.) 23 Nov 2015 19:12:23
Thanks ed002 I guess the vague question deserved the answer it received. Is Rafa close to being sacked? Or do you think he will last the season?

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry, I have no way of measuring "close". Benitez was never going to be more than a stop gap. He was not their choice for the summer and they are regretting not being better at managing the entire situation with Ancelotti.}

2.) 23 Nov 2015 21:23:13
Thanks ed002, where do you see ancelotti next season?

{Ed002's Note - There is a third party who wanted to steer Carlo Ancelotti toward Manchester this past summer - either side. However Ancelotti was not that keen and quickly decided to take a year off to address a medical issue and to work on a side project he is currently involved with. He has made no secret of his desire to return to the English Premier League at some point and and he is open to returning to any of his previous clubs. However, I understand he does have an eye on a particular job that will, sooner or later, be available.

Right now I would not want to speculate where he will be come the summer.}

Thanks ed002, much appreciated. Does this mean the interest in hazard and reus in preparation for a Ronaldo move or something unrelated?

Scousedel

{Ed002's Note - It is unrelated and I am not so sure Real Madrid will look to Reus again.}
