Do we think Madrid are going to sign anyone between now and the window shutting?

RedRosie

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid will be buying and selling in the next couple of weeks.}

I see you've been busy travelling, are you able to give a summary of their plans please (like you did for Juventus only shorter!)?

{Ed002's Note - In a few days perhaps but right they are dealing with interest from a couple of English sides in Isco and a couple of sides (one English) in Nacho. They are also looking to a very significant offer for an attacking player that will have consequences for someone else at the club if accepted. Pretty much everything else is unchanged right now.}

2.) 22 Jan 2016 11:08:17
Thanks Ed.

3.) 30 Jan 2016 08:13:01
Is the summary possible now ed2?

{Ed002's Note - I don't have the time right now.}

Is there any transfer info on Gareth Bale? Anyone interested? Madrid still happy to sell if the asking price is met?

RedRosie

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Morning, has anyone shown interest in Bale yet? Checked the search function and last post was that he was available at the right price. Guillem Balague (who I appreciate is not word of law on anything and could well have been fed correct or incorrect information to benefit a Madrid) is pretty adamant that Perez has no plan to sell Bale at all. Any information from any of you is as always appreciated. {Ed002's Note - Sorry.}

I'm a forgiving person Ed, and you have my forgiveness. Did you want to perhaps elaborate on the sorry?

Hi Ed002. Any chance of an update on Real Madrid's plans for January/Summer 2015 please?

RedRosie

{Ed002's Note - Marco Reus, Lucas Silva, Thomas Muller and David Alaba remain the targets for Real Madrid after agreement has been reached with Marco Asensio. Interest in Chelsea's Ramires is probably gone now. Khedira is still being pushed to sign a sign a new contract but remains "available". Aguero remains a target but Thomas Muller looks more achievable. It is likely Martin Odegaard will also join recently arrived Mink Peeters in the U19s - possibly via Ajax. Out will go Benzema, Khedira, Isco and, if they can move him on, Bale.}

1.) Hi ed, asked a similar question on the LFC page [players real want if they can offload isco, bale, etc] and can't seem to find anything on this or the banter page.

Sorry to pester but genuinely curious as to who they think are better then them? Don't think there is much between reus and isco, besides maybe hazard can't think of anyone i'd prefer to bale on the wing

{Ed002's Note - The answer is in this message!!}

Hi Ed's. So with the Madrid teams transfer bans now confirmed how does this affect their immediate plans in the transfer market?

RedRosie

{Ed002's Note - They have gotten what they want and notification before this window closes. They have plans in place and know what they need to do in the short term - and they will, as Barcelona did, make some longer term provisions. Expect a little bit of activity soon.}

1.) 14 Jan 2016 15:25:59
Thanks Ed002, is it unlikely the ban will be appealed and pushed back a window like it was for Barcelona? (I appreciate that was at a different time of the year)

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to go in to detail but the whole matter has been kicking around since April and the concerned clubs wanted a decision before this window and met with UEFA and FIFA to try and get that sorted out. There is a firm legal basis of appeal for one of the clubs but both could decide to appeal which will cause a delay - perhaps up to a year. This will be nothing to do with trying to get the option to sign players in the summer as they were prepared for this already.}

2.) 14 Jan 2016 15:40:03
Thanks again Ed002, any chance you can elaborate specifically on Real Madrid's activity for ins/outs please? (I understand you don't want to talk about MUFC or AFC so feel free to leave any of that out)

{Ed002's Note - Nothing will have changed except the potential timing. The higher-profile players who were to leave in the summer (Benzema and Ronaldo will almost certainly need to stay another year which is very bad news for the club. I would not be surprised to see James Rodriguez and a couple of others go this month with a couple coming in. They have had legal advice and new this was coming - I suspect Perez will be in complete denial.}

3.) 14 Jan 2016 15:59:18
Excellent info thanks Ed. Ronaldo having to stay another year jumps out as particularly bad news, another year would likely mean his value dropping dramatically come the time they are able to sell him. Thanks again for sharing.

{Ed002's Note - I have dealt with it previously on this page - much will depend now on the legal advice.}

Hi ed002, are you able to elaborate on the issues Madrid are facing with a potential transfer ban alluded to in the MUFC page and any business they are planning for January?

RedRosie

{Ed002's Note - Both Madrid clubs were found guilty of of similar offences that got Barcelona banned for two windows. This happened way back earlier in the year but, contraversially, no punishment has been put in place. Both clubs are keen to find out what is going to happen and want FIFA to make their position clear - this will require a meeting with UEFA present. Everything remains somewhat in the balance until that is resolved.}

1.) 30 Dec 2015 17:07:59
So in theory if they find out they are to be banned they will want to get their ins and outs done before the ban like Barca did? Or is that a little naïve?

{Ed002's Note - There are a number of complications though - not least the management situation and needing to sell to raise funds and make space - plus a couple of other issues that don't need to be explained.}

2.) 30 Dec 2015 17:21:23
Thanks for the info ed. With regards to the managerial situation are they looking at moving on from Benitez before the end of the season?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, there is every chance that might happen.}

3.) 30 Dec 2015 17:49:06
Thanks again ED - have a good new year!

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

I hear he's loved on the golf courses of Madrid Ed002?

RedRosie

{Ed001's Note - no mate, he doesn't go on the golf courses there, he has his own private one in his backyard. He won't even mix to play golf.}
