Eds, I know it's only just been confirmed but with Zidane leaving RM. Does Pochettino's new contract effectively rule him out of the job in the immediate term?

{Ed002's Note - I have not seen his contract.}

Eds do you think they have interest in him? Or too much hassle?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of there being any change in where the interest of Real Madid is. But, like Arsenal and PSG have found out, you cannot always get your primary choices.}

Hello Ed02, who are the front runners for the Real job? Did you see this coming mate?

Cheers

From Ed002 about the coach.

Antonio Conte (Caoch)
Mauricio Pochettino (Coach) is first choice but may settle of Carlo Ancelotti for a while
Joachim Low is an option but extended his contract past the world cup

Mauricio Pochettino (Coach) is first choice as a new Joachim Low is an option but extended his contract past the world cup. Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte are seen as possible options but much depends on what happens with the Champions League – as a wildcard don't lose sight of Guti as a potential option."

It was more from a standpoint of will it be prohibitively expensive for Madrid to get Pochettino now he's signed a new contract or will it have little impact? Or is Pochettino despite signed a new contract indicating (via his agent or any other means) that he would be interested in the job? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I have not seen his contract - I don't know what the provisions of it are. Why are you concerned about the money?}

I'm not concerned about money, I assumed (perhaps incorrectly judging by your answer) the longer the contract the more expensive it is for say Madrid to prise away Pochettino and therefore the likelihood decreases that he would join them. I was trying to find out whether the new contract would mean Madrid would look elsewhere, I don't actually care about the money (so please feel free to ignore that part of the question, I know you don't like to talk about money). I thought that the likelihood Pochettino would leave and the new contract was connected in some way.

{Ed002's Note - Contracts won’t stop clubs looking at players or coaches should they need to.}
