Eds is there any truth that Morata has agreed to join Milan? Apparently Madrid are considering a €60m offer for him?

Also, do you know if Arsenal have made an approach for him yet (or indeed anyone)? Be nice to know if something is actually happening at the club.

Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Milan has spoken with Morata's representatives but have no agreement with Real Madrid. Arsenal has not made any attempt to sign Morata or any other Real Madrid players at this time.}

Thanks again Ed002.

I realise I also should have asked the other question on the Arsenal page since it was related to that. Appreciate you giving me a more in depth answer for it.

Afternoon Eds.

I think it was said that Madrid needed to sell to buy Dybala, so I guess that is the case with Mbappe too?

I was just curious if there was any serious interest in some of the Madrid players you mentioned they wanted to sell (Morata, Kroos, Benzema)?

Thanks :)

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Real Madrid will be selling and there is interest in these players and James, Coentrao, Pepe, Kovacic and Danillo.}

Thanks for the response Ed002.

Can I ask since you mentioned Morata might be an option for Arsenal, do you think he would join without CL or are there more appealing clubs chasing him?

Seems unlikely that AFC can get these kinds of players now. Surely someone big is interested in him? He is a very good player I think.

{Ed002's Note - Madrid will let him leave and Milan are pushing - I suspect he may well be open to a move to Arsenal still.}

You said on the United page to ask here about Kroos. So which teams are interested in him and has Real Madrid offered him as part of a deal for another player?

{Ed002's Note - Kroos is available and interest has been shown by both Manchester clubs and Juventus but that is as far as it goes, but he was offered as part of a deal for Dybala.}

Eds do you know if it's true Monaco just turned down £103m for Mbappe from Real Madrid?!

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the amount, Monaco have reject bids from both Manchester United and Real Madrid for the player and don't wish to sell. More importantly this opens up a separate matter in that the player himself wants to move to Real Madrid but he is aware that if he were to move this year it would mean he would likely end up on the bench much of the time. But there is a fine balance between money, the desire of the player, and the fear of the club that he could run cold next year after running hot this year.}

Hello eds, are RM planning on making an offer for Hazard this summer and are Chelsea/ the player open to the move? Many thanks

{Ed002's Note - They are interested in Hazard but right now I would expect him to stay in London another season.}

The situation of Isco is very interesting at Real Madrid and goes a long way to explain why the club has so many problems as no one seems to work as a team at any level of the club.

Basically Zidane loves him, he was the one who convinced the club to buy him. He wants to offload others to make space for him in the team. However, above Zidane, the club want rid of Isco to raise funds. That is causing issues.

So a lot of the business this summer is going to be dependent on Zizou's future. Will he be in charge next season? No one is sure yet. If he is, he will fight to keep Isco. If he is gone. Isco is then definitely available for sale for thebest price they can get.

Hi ed

Have MU approached Real Madrid about the availability of James Rodriguez I've seen many reports stating we have. I'm hoping we haven't as I don't see what he has to offer.

If a sharkopod is close then by all means ignore this and I will wait for that.

{Ed002's Note - It is not quite like that Dave. James Rodriguez is keen to leave Madrid To some extent the situation with the player is similar to last year, Real Madrid did not want to sell James in January but they will listen to any very high bids made for the summer as they need to raise funds. Five clubs come in to the picture - Manchester United because they are seen as stupid enough to pay what most sides would see as way over the odds for the player who some would describe as a childish flake; Chelsea as the player has suggested himself that he would like to play for them and live in London - but they won't be held to ransom and have major concerns about his ability to settle in the very culturally different England - but this may not deter an offer; Arsenal could beome interested but will not be attractive to the player as Chelsea or Bayern Munich; Juventus - but he is one of several potential targets and their interest is elsewhere; and Bayern Munich now that Carlo Ancelotti is there - again they won't be held to ransom but the player has said he would be open to playing for Ancelotti again.

However, whilst the intention is that he will be sacrificed in the summer to raise funds, there is every chance that Real Madrid will look to include him as part of a deal for one of the players they are keen on - Dybala, Hazard or De Gea. His agent has spoken to a number of sides about James including Manchester United (Mourinho is a fan), Manchester City (who are unlikely to be interested), Juventus and Chelsea. Real Madrid has also spoken with PSG through a different third party whilst discussions were being held over another player. A move there seems unlikely.

As for discussions with Manchester United, they have taken place through his agent and invove the De Gea issue. There is no agreement between the clubs at this time.}

Hello Ed002, I hope you, and indeed the others Eds, are well.

I am just wondering if there is an update on the possibility of Mariano leaving Real Madrid this Summer? You mentioned him in the January Sharkopods but I haven't seen an update on his situation. Are the likes of Liverpool still interested?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - It remains to be seen if Liverpool would still be interested in the Summer should he become available - and that will likely be driven by others leaving and his future becoming clearer.}

Spot on Ed, thank you! I guess those others leaving will be like you said in another recent post:

Afternoon ed's I'm wondering if Real are close to completing any signings? Or are they still having issue with raising funds and offloading players? They seem to be cutting it pretty fine with the end of the window a couple of weeks away and a lot of business seemingly still to do! Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - REal Madrid are one of several clubs that still have a great deal of business planned - and as you say they only have a couple of weeks to go. THere will be a lot of coming and going there.}

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to writing lists Scousedel. Later in the week no doubt there will be particular players to ask about - they have meetings planned with several clubs that I am aware of this week and may look to a creative solution or two if needs be (e.g. for Alaba).}

Hello eds. It's no secret that Zidane and Hazard admire each other and that Real Madrid have had a long held interest in Eden Hazard. With Zidane's comments following the Chelsea v RM match, is it reasonable to assume they still hold an interest in him? And if so, will they be pushing for a summer transfer? Cheers guys for doing an awesome job as always

{Ed001's Note - Zidane would like Hazard, but to replace Ronaldo, so not yet mate.}

Eds what is the situation with benzema, is it that madrid want to sell but no one will touch the player due to his impending trial or whatever legal complication pends.

i remember reading that carlo ancelotti was interested, so bayern have pulled back interest?

cheers in advance.

{Ed001's Note - yes, that is partly it, but there are other issues pertaining to him as a person that put a lot of clubs off. He is very closely associated with known gang members and his involvement in the blackmail came from that. He has been involved in a number of incidents due to his involvement with criminals and he has a few attitude issues surrounding him. Very few clubs truly want someone like him to be a part of their team, as he can be a bad influence.}

criminals? gangs? man this guy should be locked up.

so what made madrid turn down arsenals offer for him last year, was there no offer? or did they think he could become a good boy. hahah.

so i assume they are stuck with him till his contract expires.

{Ed001's Note - they have not received an offer anywhere near their valuation or he would be sold.}

terrific read, i can see what you mean, talent is there the environment is not.
the situation is if by now being nearly 30 he has not learnt how to integrate and look to better things in life and can't differentiate i don't think he ever will, and probably in 10 years time will be arrested or be involved in some major criminal activity.

Hey Ed002, as it seems that the Pogba situation is nearly sorted and he is on his way to Man Utd. Would you be willing to share how international Real Madrid were in signing him and what caused them to pull out of negotiations? No worries if you don't want to, just thought I'd ask. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid were certainly very keen to sign the player and the player wanted Real Madrid over others. However, there were two issues that were discussed in Monaco that I mentioned previously and neither were resolvable from the perspective of the club. I don't see a need to go in to detail but they were also both of concern to Manchester Unites as well but they simply had to suck it up and pay what was asked for.}

any movement from Real ed?

considering they are going to be looking at a 2 window transfer ban.

with about a month to go in the transfer window its been relatively quiet.

i don't want to talk about the obvious topic, but excluding that are there any new targets they are looking to acquire?

you did state the players they were looking to sell, so does it only depend on when they sell or will they look to buy regardless.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to write long lists any more - Real MAdrid are working to secure players and are in the process of seeing what money they can raise through sales.}

they just lost our on andre gomes to barcelona, and from what marca have been saying subtly is that they let united sign pogba as they had andre gomes in sight. and with them losing out on both the players the management in madrid are probably on meltdown.

if only they had been reasonable and let morata, james, isco or whoever it is they want to sell leave for atleast the price they bought them, it would give them sufficient funds to rebuild.
