bit of a.strange move to City if all the press reports are correct??

{Ed002's Note - Why would it be strange?}

just the fact they have already signed a RB in Walker and want Mendy my understanding.
From one bench to the other.

are chelsea still intrested ed002?

thank you!!

{Ed002's Note - Mendy is a left back. They want two players for each position. Why is this such hard work?}

i agree two player's for each position. but don't clubs go for a top (expensive player say) and a back up. not two ridiculously priced players wanting first team.

{Ed002's Note - OK, maybe they will drop interest then - if that suits you.}

Greetings

What is the latest on the future of de gea

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - The situation remains as it has done all year. I would have expected a move in 2018 but he is first choice for this summer for Real Madrid.)

Thanks in advance

Ed002, possible to ask for the latest on James Rodriguez?

{Ed002's Note - I still expect him to move this summer - the only changes to what has been said before is that Inter Milan had an offer rejected and Juventus are no longer interested. I suspect Bayern Munich are also no longer considering him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Jul 2017 21:27:21
So down to Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG and AC Milan?

{Ed002's Note - To some extent the situation with James Rodriguez is similar to last year, Real Madrid did not want to sell James in January but they will listen to any very high bids made for the summer as they need to raise funds. Five clubs come in to the picture - Manchester United because they are seen as stupid enough to pay what most sides would see as way over the odds for the player who some would describe as a childish flake; Chelsea as the player has suggested himself that he would like to play for them and live in London - but they won't be held to ransom and have major concerns about his ability to settle in the very culturally different England - and this will probably deter an offer at anything near the asking price but they would be interested if it dropped; Arsenal could beome interested but will not be attractive to the player as Manchester United, Chelsea or Bayern Munich; Juventus - but he is one of several potential targets and their interest is elsewhere; and Bayern Munich now that Carlo Ancelotti is there - again they won't be held to ransom but the player has said he would be open to playing for Ancelotti again. However, whilst the intention is that he will be sacrificed in the summer to raise funds, there are some significant things going on in the background that could still have an impact on whether or not he will be leaving during 2016 - so we need to wait and see but I expect circumstances to be such that they will listen to offers or look to include him as part of an exchange deal. But they could block any move until the end of the window awaiting the outcome of a number of issues. His agent has spoken to a number of sides about James including Manchester City - who are unlikely to be interested, Inter Milan who have had a bid rejected, and PSG. Real Madrid has also spoken with PSG through a third party whilst discussions were being held over another player. They could well bite later in the transfer window if he is still available.}

Hi all, was hoping one of the ed's could clarify if anything has changed in regards to Mbappe? Reading on sly that zidane has told Mbappe's people he would be Willing to let Bale leave so as to facilitate his request of being a regular starter? I'm guessing its codswallop?!

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what ZZ has told these "people". The player has made it clear who he wishes to join. Real Madrid will try to facilitate this when they get some income from sales.}

Madrid seem to be having trouble selling players at the moment, could this open the door for Mbappe to move to PSG or is it Madrid or nothing for him?

16 Jun 2017 15:11:02
I've got a question if the Eds are about. Is Ronaldo really going to leave Real? If so where's his likley destination

{Ed001's Note - it is possible, if the right deal can be made, but I doubt it. Ronaldo has come close to quitting a few times but there is no one else out there for him.}

Reports coming out of Spain Ronaldo has told Perez he wants to leave and decision is irreversible. Any truth in this, if so there would obviously be a lot of interested parties. Assume PSG would be in for him. Probably nothing in it and just made up

Hi ed

I know you are travelling so really appreciate your time to answer.

This time I'm asking about Alvaro Morata there's been reports saying MU have contacted Real Madrid about him and I recall him being a wildcard but with Real Madrid interested in De Gea could this be easier to complete as opposed to Belotti/Lukaku.

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Morata is a favourite of Mourinho and is certainly an option for the club. I am not sure if MU have contacted RM about him at this time but as you say with De Gea potentially in the mix it could happen. RM have previously offered him as part of a deal for another player but that fell flat, so they are open to an exchange.}

@Ed002

Is it true that United have had an offer rejected for Morata recently? Reports suggest Real Madrid value him at €90mil. That seems a bit crazy and far fetched.

Eds is there any truth that Morata has agreed to join Milan? Apparently Madrid are considering a €60m offer for him?

Also, do you know if Arsenal have made an approach for him yet (or indeed anyone)? Be nice to know if something is actually happening at the club.

Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Milan has spoken with Morata's representatives but have no agreement with Real Madrid. Arsenal has not made any attempt to sign Morata or any other Real Madrid players at this time.}

Afternoon Eds.

I think it was said that Madrid needed to sell to buy Dybala, so I guess that is the case with Mbappe too?

I was just curious if there was any serious interest in some of the Madrid players you mentioned they wanted to sell (Morata, Kroos, Benzema)?

Thanks :)

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Real Madrid will be selling and there is interest in these players and James, Coentrao, Pepe, Kovacic and Danillo.}

Thanks for the response Ed002.

Can I ask since you mentioned Morata might be an option for Arsenal, do you think he would join without CL or are there more appealing clubs chasing him?

Seems unlikely that AFC can get these kinds of players now. Surely someone big is interested in him? He is a very good player I think.

{Ed002's Note - Madrid will let him leave and Milan are pushing - I suspect he may well be open to a move to Arsenal still.}

@Ed002

You said on the United page to ask here about Kroos. So which teams are interested in him and has Real Madrid offered him as part of a deal for another player?

{Ed002's Note - Kroos is available and interest has been shown by both Manchester clubs and Juventus but that is as far as it goes, but he was offered as part of a deal for Dybala.}

21 May 2017 01:05:06
Eds do you know if it's true Monaco just turned down £103m for Mbappe from Real Madrid?!

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the amount, Monaco have reject bids from both Manchester United and Real Madrid for the player and don't wish to sell. More importantly this opens up a separate matter in that the player himself wants to move to Real Madrid but he is aware that if he were to move this year it would mean he would likely end up on the bench much of the time. But there is a fine balance between money, the desire of the player, and the fear of the club that he could run cold next year after running hot this year.}

The situation of Isco is very interesting at Real Madrid and goes a long way to explain why the club has so many problems as no one seems to work as a team at any level of the club.

Basically Zidane loves him, he was the one who convinced the club to buy him. He wants to offload others to make space for him in the team. However, above Zidane, the club want rid of Isco to raise funds. That is causing issues.

So a lot of the business this summer is going to be dependent on Zizou's future. Will he be in charge next season? No one is sure yet. If he is, he will fight to keep Isco. If he is gone. Isco is then definitely available for sale for thebest price they can get.

Hi ed

Have MU approached Real Madrid about the availability of James Rodriguez I've seen many reports stating we have. I'm hoping we haven't as I don't see what he has to offer.

If a sharkopod is close then by all means ignore this and I will wait for that.

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - It is not quite like that Dave. James Rodriguez is keen to leave Madrid To some extent the situation with the player is similar to last year, Real Madrid did not want to sell James in January but they will listen to any very high bids made for the summer as they need to raise funds. Five clubs come in to the picture - Manchester United because they are seen as stupid enough to pay what most sides would see as way over the odds for the player who some would describe as a childish flake; Chelsea as the player has suggested himself that he would like to play for them and live in London - but they won't be held to ransom and have major concerns about his ability to settle in the very culturally different England - but this may not deter an offer; Arsenal could beome interested but will not be attractive to the player as Chelsea or Bayern Munich; Juventus - but he is one of several potential targets and their interest is elsewhere; and Bayern Munich now that Carlo Ancelotti is there - again they won't be held to ransom but the player has said he would be open to playing for Ancelotti again.

However, whilst the intention is that he will be sacrificed in the summer to raise funds, there is every chance that Real Madrid will look to include him as part of a deal for one of the players they are keen on - Dybala, Hazard or De Gea. His agent has spoken to a number of sides about James including Manchester United (Mourinho is a fan), Manchester City (who are unlikely to be interested), Juventus and Chelsea. Real Madrid has also spoken with PSG through a different third party whilst discussions were being held over another player. A move there seems unlikely.

As for discussions with Manchester United, they have taken place through his agent and invove the De Gea issue. There is no agreement between the clubs at this time.}

Hello Ed002, I hope you, and indeed the others Eds, are well.

I am just wondering if there is an update on the possibility of Mariano leaving Real Madrid this Summer? You mentioned him in the January Sharkopods but I haven't seen an update on his situation. Are the likes of Liverpool still interested?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - It remains to be seen if Liverpool would still be interested in the Summer should he become available - and that will likely be driven by others leaving and his future becoming clearer.}

Spot on Ed, thank you! I guess those others leaving will be like you said in another recent post:

That's a long list ed, any multi buy offers? Bale is one of the names I don't see, is he regarded as the long term future of Real?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what "multi buy offers" are. They are not looking to sell Bale.}
